Budget Plan 2017-2018

The Saint Rose Catholic School budget for fiscal year 2017-18 is available below for parents to review. The school year is based on a fiscal year system which begins July 1 and ends June 31 each year.

In an effort to maintain the highest level of transparency the finance team has put together a report, complete with charts, to give an overall view of  the school budget for FY 2017-18 complete with a brief explanation.  The operation of the school is basically broken down into two different separate budgets. The first is the annual operating budget. This is the budget tool that the finance team develops annually and serves as our spending plan for the fiscal school year. The operating budget is for those planned day to day activities and expenses such as salaries, supplies, maintenance of the grounds, utilities, textbooks and more. There is little or no flexibility in this budget as it serves for those “known” expenses and must be adhered to closely to maintain school integrity.

The second part of the school budget is the Capital Improvement Plan, or CIP. The CIP is for one time projects such as painting the school, or remodeling classrooms, buying any new items such as technology related, furniture and so on.
